Eastcote Art Society is thirty-eight years old having started in 1978 and has been running continuously since then. It is a friendly group of local artists, with a wide range of skill levels from beginners to some very experienced and well known local artists, who get together on a regular basis to develop our interest in painting and art in general. We hold exhibitions of our work throughout the
year, at the Cow Byer in Ruislip, The Barn in Ruislip during Hillingdon Arts Week, and an annual Outdoor Exhibition on the railings of the Ascott pub, Field End Road in Eastcote during the summer. We meet in the Eastcote Community Centre in Southbourne Gardens on alternate Monday evenings between 7.45pm and 9.45pm. Visitors and new members are welcome. Our meetings alternate between professional demonstrations by visiting artists and working evenings, when we share our work and knowledge in an effort to develop our skills. Chairman: Graham Pellow

“The artwork of the Society is very varied. Our work has had many positive comments during exhibitions and an EAS member, Margaret Jeeves, has won the prize for best painting at Hillingdon Combined Arts Exhibition, two years on the trot, with other EAS members work being highly commended. Regular sales of paintings and greetings cards are achieved at our exhibition venues. (Exhibition details in the Calendar section). Virtually all painting mediums are used by artists in the Society, oil, pastel, acrylic, watercolour, pen and wash, collage and acrylic ink, together with a range of stylistic approaches from pointillism to palette knife. Our professional demonstrators often inspire us to attempt new mediums and styles, often in the comfort of a working evening where members can help each other. Why not come and have a go yourself.”
