BAM - Dunfermline Museum & Art Gallery

BAM - Dunfermline Museum & Art Gallery BAM is constructing a new West Wing extension to the historic Carnegie Library, part of the Dunfermline Museum and Art Gallery. The new £8.2 million building will house exhibition space, a children’s zone, museum, café, retail units, a learning zone, activity spaces and visual art galleries.

The library will also reopen its doors to the public. Visitors will be able to make use of all the spaces by passing over link bridges hanging below a vast glass atrium roof. CONSIDERATE CONTRACTORS
Our construction teams are committed to being good neighbours. This means providing a clean and safe site, and carrying out our work in a respectful and environmentally-concious way. At all times we aim to cause as little inconvenience as possible.

BAM is an Associate Member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS), and our sites are independently inspected by the CCS to make sure we live up to these aims.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Construction sites can be dangerous. At BAM our top priority is the health and safety of our site workers, the public and the local community affected by our work. If you need to contact us, please ring us or call to the site office but do not enter the site.

Please make any children or students in your care aware that our building site is not a playground and that they must not enter the site.
Please visit this page regularly as we inform you about any vehicle movements, notifications, and any potential hazards.

ENVIRONMENT & THE COMMUNITY
We are committed to helping the environment and community. This includes reducing our carbon emissions, recycling, and wherever possible diverting waste from landfill.

During construction, our team is looking at ways in which we can work with, and support, the local community. This includes a commitment to local recruitment and the use of local subcontractors and supply chain wherever possible. We also get involved with local education and charitable causes, details of which will be posted on this page.
