Reposted- Wagon Yard Artists, the much loved community pottery/art space and gallery will close at the end of March due to Wiltshire Council’s whopping 280% increase in rent. Artist and teacher, Jeannette Therrien, started Wagon Yard Artists 25 years ago and it has been a popular community arts hub offering pottery/art classes as well as a showcase for art, jewellery and pottery often linked to the local landscape. It has also become a ‘go to’ place for gifts. The artists are now desperately looking for a new home at an affordable rent.

I shall be making these beautiful Christmas tree decorations today at Wagon Yard gallery in Marlborough, from 10.00 -4.00 - come along to see how I create the vibrant colours, every one is unique. Reposted is at the gallery this Saturday. He would love to welcome you while he works on his latest creations. These beautiful christmas trees will be for sale at our Christmas Fair. We are celebrating our 25 year anniversary on our preview night, Friday 29th Nov 6-9pm. Mulled wine and mince pies to be enjoyed with amazing art for your home, gifts for Christmas and cards and decorations too. We are open for the weekend after the PV and then every Saturday until Christmas 10-4pm.

Fantastic evening at Chatsworth House for the Army Benevolent Fund dinner. I was delighted that my poppy sphere sold for a very generous sum which will greatly benefit serving or ex army personnel in their time of need. And here it is, finished! Curiosity got the better of me and I wanted to see what the armature looked like from the inside. What a magical perspective! Funny to think it’s made from air conditioning tubing repurposed as to create the structure for a sculpture.

This is perhaps the best bit! After open studios I am spending time delivering sculptures to their new homes, and enjoying seeing how well they sit in their new owners’ gardens, such as this one. This leaf ladder compliments perfectly the orange of the day lily beside it. What a great combo! More to come…
