Off The Rails Arthouse

Off The Rails Arthouse An artist led organisation run on a voluntary basis, offering a space to explore a wide range of activities. www.offtherailsarthouse.com

The Arthouse at Ladybank Station will officially open its doors from the 1st to 3rd September with a special photographic exhibition ‘From Station House to Arthouse’ . It has been created by Cupar based artist Carolyn Scott. Much of her work is concerned with memory, change and loss. As a member of the Arthouse steering group she was struck by the traces left by previous occupants and decided to

record these atmospheric remnants of domestic life before they were hidden by the new clean white public spaces. Her photographs, rich in texture and colour, are all the more evocative and poignant from being displayed in the very rooms where the images were taken. We will also launch our programme of Art, Design & craft workshops, classes and exhibitions. The Sunday 2nd September is the East Fife Open doors day and we are part of it as is Kirsty Lorenz on Platform 2.

The Writing Group returns for Block Three and will take place every second Wednesday till 27 November. Newcomers are welcome to join. Blocks One and Two were fully subscribed, so we recommend securing your place sooner rather than later. The intention is to establish and sustain a regular guided writing group, meeting in blocks of 5fortnightly sessions. The hope is that you’ll want and be able to return again (3 blocks per year) – however, you may attend just one or two blocks, and newcomers can join the group at the start of any new block....
