Glasgow's Last Tram The restoration of tram 1245 This tram was built in 1939 by Glasgow Corporation Transport in Coplawhill Works. This tram ran through Coatbridge and went out of service passenger service in 1962 and was used to move trams to be scraped until 1963 when the tram was sold and moved about the country for several years. in 2002 it arrived at Summerlee and work started to restore the tram in 2011. during the summer of 2012 the trucks were moved to the museum workshop and 8/11/2013 the bottom part of the tram was moved to the museum workshop for restoration.
