This exquisite first edition of Mansfield Park from our collection is shown atop Jane Austen's writing table, at which she likely wrote much of it. The volumes belonged to her brother Edward, kept at his home at Godmersham Park in Kent. The books are in fine leather bindings that would have been chosen to complement his library.
