My latest horse portrait was a beauty!!

This is Frosty! He was drawn as a surprise and I think he turned out beautifully.

I love to draw horses for many reasons; their fur direction varies significantly on different parts of the face and body, the mane is like human hair and varies in texture and mostly, their eyes are dark so making sure they look detailed and life like are all challenges I really enjoy.

As with each animal they come with different challenges or skills required and as I tend to draw mostly dogs, I always like to mix it up! Mandy Pancho

This is Poppy!! The recent portrait I did as a birthday surprise, which was gifted today!

All the different textures and shades made this one so challenging but SOOOO fun to recreate.

Sweet Angel Dottie!

This was surprise gift for a someone who had lost this beautiful girl and he was very thrilled with how she turned out!

This was my first commission at an A5 size and I was worried about getting detail on a smaller scale portrait but I'm really happy with how she turned out

✨ Kiwi ✨

When there is a will there is a way and I'll always find a way!

This project was a little different to others because, despite having lots of lovely photos and videos of this gorgeous character kiwi, we wanted more of an adjusted side profile to capture him in the portrait, and didn't quite have a picture to match. So using all the media provided to me I did my best to merge them all together to create this portrait

One thing I was concerned about was capturing him and who he was and luckily, following the portrait being gifted a few days ago, it was confirmed I had done just that. So I'm a happy artist 🥰

This beautiful girl was a request from someone who already had 2 portraits done by me of their dogs and wanted to honour their gorgeous girl in the same way.

Following the rush of Christmas it was nice to really take my time and sink my pencil into a slower paced project.

I can't take all the credit, the photo I had to work with was truly gorgeous and captured so much detail which both makes my job easier and harder at the same time but equally as rewarding

✨ Hello Rodger ✨

This sweet spaniel was bought as a Christmas gift from his family and isn't he so adorable.
I had a selection of cute photos to work with but one thing they absolutely wanted to make sure I captured in the picture, was the little tuft of hair on his head which never seemed to lay flat. SO CUTEEEEE

The most challenging part with spaniels is there's ears, the curls and the intricate detail isn't for the impatient that's for sure but once you get to add the glossy highlights at the end, makes it all worth it!
