Inner Demons by Leigh Pearce at ⁣

We all wrestle with inner demons - anxiety, fear, anger… but artist Leigh Pearce transforms these emotions into vibrant, playful characters that make space for honesty and connection.⁣

After debuting at Urban Break in South Korea, Inner Demons arrives in Brighton for its first UK solo exhibition. Each character tells its own story and visitors can scan QR codes in the gallery to uncover their unique personalities and meanings.⁣

A thoughtful, creative exploration of mental health through colour, humour, and empathy and a reminder that even our demons deserve to be seen. 👹

We found something really special on Middle Street - striking piece of street art by

The name itself means “to look from a different viewpoint” in Latin, and the work definitely delivers.⁣

Perspicere uses a technique that feels like one continuous line drawing but gets made from one length of thread, wound and layered into circular forms right on the wall. The result? A black-and-white realistic portrait that reveals its detail the closer you look. ⁣

If you’re out and about, go see it. Tag us in your photo if you discover it during your crawl.⁣

The Dark Town Film Club – Atelier by the Sea⁣

While hitting up some spots on the Brighton Art Crawl, we stumbled upon The Dark Town Film Club at Atelier by the Sea, and it’s an absolute feast for the eyes. ⁣

The exhibition showcases works by Jonny Hannah in his fictional world of DarkTown - a universe infused with folklore, Americana and his unmistakable narrative style. Hannah’s work is immediately striking, with every piece alive with a chaotic whirl of colour, texture and writing.⁣

It’s exciting to see an artist so confident in their unique voice, blending storytelling, illustrative detail and cultural references into a playful yet deeply immersive experience. ⁣

Alongside Hannah, 30 other artists contribute alternative film posters, creating a lively, colourful and truly intriguing experience. The show has been curated so the works stand alone, allowing you to revel in each artist’s unique voice. And when viewed together you feel as though you are immersed in a strange and wonderful land.⁣

This exhibition is not just for cinema fans - it’s for anyone who loves unusual art that is rich and visually-exuberant.⁣

On now at until 9th November⁣

Whistleblower Gallery – Marks of the Isles Folk ⁣

Our next hot pick for Brighton Art Crawl is a show that dives into the magic and myth of the British Isles. ⁣

From October 17th – November 15th Whistleblower Gallery presents Marks of the Isle Folk – a group show bringing together contemporary artists inspired by folklore, fairytales and mysticism. ⁣

▪️Ellie Davies Combines symbolic imagery, human form and psychological tension to examine myth and story.⁣

▪️Scott Knight works with raw materials to explore tradition and craft.⁣

▫️Oakley Lamerton connects older stories with the present through narrative.⁣

Phoenix – Laura White: Daily Baroque

Our next pick for the Brighton Art Crawl is Daily Baroque – a wonderfully curious exhibition that dives into the world of dough as a medium for sculpture.

In the show, artist Laura White experiments with materials like pasta dough, porcelain and silicone rubber, pushing the materials to breaking point, then embracing those flaws to create works that are unexpectedly beautiful.

This show is a fascinating collaboration between an artist and their tools, exploring how each material has a mind of its own, and how surprising results can contribute to the final outcome. Embracing playfulness,
imperfection and transformation, White’s dynamic show is daring and a whole lot of fun.

Exhibition dates: On Now until 9th November | Weds–Sun, 12–5pm
