I am loving these buttery yellows interiors that keep filling my feed! 💛 Also noticing lots of light blue walls at the moment or like in some of these images, a mix of the two! A very pretty palette indeed don’t you think? Some really beautiful homes and designs in this mix. I’m definitely a maximalist at heart but I always appreciate the beautiful imagery minimalist interior design can offer too - it’s just not what I would choose to live in! A little clutter is comforting!

If you’ve been back working the last few days I hope it’s been a fun start back!

Our 15% sale across all artwork ends on Monday and orders (including those purchased over the Christmas break) will be shipped on Wednesday.

It will be a busy week for us with LOTS of new arrivals too. The studio is a complete mess, you can’t move for boxes. I would actually be embarrassed to show you it! Eeek! Debbie will be working her magic next week and restoring the calm (for a few days anyway!)

My recent saves feature a lot of yellow 💛 As soon as we are into January, thoughts always turn to spring for me. I hope you like them too, wishing you a calm and cosy weekend!

A moment for the vintage watercolours and gouaches! You can find these on the shop currently with 15% until Monday! I buy what I love, whatever catches my eye and what “speaks to me”.

Typically that is an oil painting. I love the texture of oils, I love impasto. I want to want to touch a painting. I really try to avoid glazing and always use anti glare when I frame.

However, when something jumps out at me I follow my heart! Here are some of the paintings available in the sale which are either watercolour or gouache.

They are a mix of two popular Swedish artists that I love - Svän Grandin and Lars Norrman.

Funny fact - I write Svän Grandin so often my phone always autocorrects “scan” to “Svän” which I discovered during pregnancy when often using the word!!🤣

Looking back on the year I think this set of French landscapes had to be my most popular paintings! They had soooo much LOVE! A shame I can’t sell any more of them but that’s the beauty of vintage art - they really are one of a kind and once they are gone, they are gone!

I really love the buzz that comes with that and Instagram selling really brings that to life in a way you might experience IRL at a vintage fair etc. There isn’t always time to measure up or consult a partner etc. If you want it you need to snap it up. I love shopping like this personally (as long as I get the thing I want 😅) but I do also know how frustrating it is to miss out because you weren’t online when it was released etc.

Hopefully with growing the team this year I will be able to give a bit more notice of drops to give everyone a better chance to get what they love!
