Time to say goodbye.
" A world of its own" Ardallie House is situated on the hillside overlooking Loch Lomond with staggering views in every direction.
Time to say goodbye.
A wonderful crop
The mist is rising nicely.
I let Mother Nature arrange the flowers.
A view of the loch from Ben Dubh behind Luss.
Panoramic view of Loch Lomond taken from the summit of Beinn Dubh above the village of Luss. Looking eastwards.
The blossom is just extraordinary this year.
This is the tree that Jack wanted to chop down last year because it hadn't flowered.
Let's give the old ones a chance................
This was taken on our drive back to Ardallie from the Village Inn where we had lunch with Lee and Adam. So many happy memories. Such a beautiful country.
How has my day been?
Well, pretty annoying as I've been trying to upload photos to this page ...........in vain.
Sometimes, it is just too beautiful.
Visit Loch Lomond
Another stunning day at Loch Lomond!
What a fabulous day and what a glorious sunset.
I know, another boring beautiful photo of Ardallie.
Autumn colours, hills, trees, quaint stuff.
Sorry but it is just fabulous....
Open at last.
We also meant to welcome on board The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, Loch Lomond's newest venue. Have you been to visit yet? It's gorgeous. Visit their website at www.lochlomondarmshotel.com x
It has been another fabulous day at Ardallie.
Washing dried on the line and a very tasty barbeque at the end of the day.
What a day!
New kitchen flooring and new stair carpet all in one day!
...but it does look wonderful.
Summer has returned to Ardallie......at last.
We are enjoying a quiet break after a hectic weekend. One couple turned up a day early so I nearly had a heart attack. Fortunately, it was not my mistake and I had that rarity, a handwritten letter, to prove it.
We managed to squeeze them and they had the best room in the house. Mine!
So much for the heatwave.
At least we got to try out the new central heating and it's brilliant!
We can have hot water and heating ...at the same time!!!
Very difficult explaining my marmalade recipe to a Russian lady who had no English but obviously knew how to make jam.
The heat today was incredible. Not a cloud in the sky.
Another BBQ ....so beautiful.
The Loch Lomond road was so busy with day trippers but no one up our drive. Everyone heading home after a glorious day in the sun.
The hottest week of the year and we are installing a new central heating system, so no guests and the most awful upheaval imaginable at the end of May. Truth to tell the workmen were brilliant but it has taken Jack and I twice as long to put everything back in order. Also, all our lovely radiator covers don't fit and we have ugly big modern radiators.........

Loch Fyne Oysters- Our Events
This was a fun weekend with 2 lovely French couples who had never been to Scotland before but were open to every new experience. They 'tried' our "British" breakfast with hesitation.......and loved it! Rien pour Holly.
Cultural centre planned for cottage / Helensburgh Advertiser / News / This Week
THOUSANDS of people will be tracing their Scottish ancestry at a new visitor and heritage centre at Luss.,
another great photo
Maid of the Loch Balloch.
When traveling there are always some great signs that make you laugh!
Lambing Season - Due to lambing the restrictions for Conic Hill started on the 15th April and ends after the 15th May.
Alternative route option is in place for those walking the West Highland Way with their dogs. Great view from the top. Have climbed it!
looking forward to the daffodils bursting forth.
Need I say more?
We are looking forward to our earliest visitors ever.
It will be chilly but they will be sure of a very warm welcome.
Electric blankets and heaters full blast plus porridge and a full cooked breakfast in the morning. Too cold or wet to venture out, then they can just snuggle up beside a lovely log fire.
And just enjoy the view..................
Visceral ‘Tosca’ Takes Orpheum Stage
An international star returns home while another makes her American debut in Opera Memphis’s season opener, “Tosca,” by Giacomo Puccini.
Suddenly having guests who are booked for the Sea Plane, which is nice because usually our guests are here for a wedding or 'doing Scotland'
Now more visitors seem to appreciate that staying in this area, they can enjoy a lot of the West of Scotland within an easy driving distance.
14 August 2011
We've had a hectic few weeks at Ardallie with wonderful visits from family and friends.

Suddenly people are talking about Christmas.
Is it the chilly weather?
Sad to see the Scottish Open away from Loch Lomond after so many years.
We had so many interesting visitors over that week...with so many stories to tell.
Funnily enough, we always seemed to get good weather, by and large.
Jack and I were fortunate on quite a few occasions to have guest tickets on the final day at the 18th hole.
