What a week!

I can't believe how many of you bought pots this week, selling me out of so many on the first day! 🤯
Thank you so much to everyone who's ordered from me this week 🥰

I had thought this would be my last batch of the year but due to how quickly they've sold I'm going to try and get one more batch out before the year ends. I have a few markets lined up that I'll need stock for! 😅 I'm also working on a few painting commissions until the end of the year so I can't make any promises on the pots.

I'd always thought of myself as more of a painter than a potter, but as of this year I think things have swapped around. I definitely enjoy pottery the most now too. Next year there will be a bit shift around my focus as pots will most likely take over a lot more of my time!

AUTUMN POTS ARE HERE! 🍂

After long last I'm so happy I've finally re-stocked my website with a range of new pots. As well as creating more starry, strawberry and heart pots I've also done a few new pieces. I'm so happy that these pots came out so bright and colourful after I dropped the dwell time in the glaze firing. It's always risky business in the pottery world but in this case the risk paid off!

Due to a few commissions and stockists to re-stock, I've not got as many pots available as I usually do this time. I'll be working away on painting commissions up until Christmas. This means these are the last pots of 2024 😮

Thank goodness they're going to put a temporary wall up, let's hope its soon🤞🏼

The gallery is open all year round and all through winter, only closing for one week at Christmas!

The pretty village of Grosmont, one of the main stations on The North Yorkshire Moors heritage railway line, is still open and as welcoming as ever says North Yorkshire Council.

I had such a lovely time at the in Saltburn last weekend. As always it's such an honour to be nestled amongst such talented creatives and makers. I love coming to Saltburn, I always meet so many lovely people. Hopefully I'll be coming back for another market in November! 🩷

It made my day to sell my 'sleepy dogs club' dish to an owner of two beautiful brindle whippets. I sold the majority of my remaining pots so fingers crossed I'll be firing more again in a couple weeks! 🤞🏼

September has come around so fast, this afternoon I'll be making a start with the Christmas admin 🫣 Good luck out there my fellow small business owners!

I'm very happy to be back in full production on the pottery front! I have very few pots left at the moment so I'm desperate to get my next small batch finished, glazed and fired.

If there's anyone else wanting pre-orders with this next batch please let me know by the end of next week!

There are quite a few commissioned pieces and pre-orders this time so my small-batch may appear to be even smaller than usual. I will aim to get one more batch out before Christmas but I can't guarantee it just yet! Fingers crossed I have no more injuries for the rest of the year 😅

This week I framed up a couple of Robin Hoods Bay prints to send straight to their new home. 🏡

This one may be my favourite paintings I've ever done of Robin Hoods Bay. The coastal colours and pebbly beach really capture the feel of Bay, at least it does for me anyways!

Out of all the paintings I've sold this year I really thought this original would've sold by now. But I know this painting is just waiting for the right person to come along 😊🎨

Close up of my most recent painting of Grosmont Steam Railway Station (NYMR). Having lived in Grosmont for so many years throughout my life scenes like this have become the 'norm' for me. But I'm gently reminded of how magical it is when I see a child standing with their jaw on the floor watching the chuggas roll by!

I've made prints & cards of this one. They're on my website & in the gallery now.

For lack of a better word. It feels weird to call the people who buy my art customers as it feels so much more personal than that!

The super lovely couple who sent me this photo have a collection of my original paintings. These were two of the first originals they bought a few years ago. They now own FOUR original paintings of mine! They bought their fourth one last month.

I feel so grateful & blessed to have people who love & support my work this much. This amazing support for a small artist like myself allows me to continue doing what I love everyday, which feels magical!✨

I've had the loveliest weekend away on my pottery pilgrimage to Stoke-On-Trent!

Visiting the old potteries and going back to the very roots of the UK made mass-production and seeing both heritage museums and modern factories has sparked a lot of inspiration for me and my little small-batch collections.

Big shout-out & thank you to my partner, Jai for planning and booking this for my birthday. That's a biggie ticked off the bucket list! ❤️

✨Customer photo✨

Just wanted to share this beautiful photo I was sent of one of my starry moon jars in pride of place with some gorgeous dried flowers. I LOVE seeing my pots in their new homes. It fills me with sooo much joy to know I'm slowly filling the houses of the UK and further with my artwork.

I have ONE moon jar left on my website and a small amount of strawberry and starry vases. Feel free to message me for photos of my remaining pots! 💙

I've been experimenting with different canvas board sizes. Previously when I've painted this shape it has been about 60x20" so it was nice to do a smaller version at 18x7.5". I simply adore this view of the Abbey and will continue to paint it over and over. I also wanted to add a bit of warm pink light onto the buildings to give it that summer evening calm feeling.

As usual, on my website & in the gallery. Always happy to frame upon request.

✨ Summer small-batch pottery collection ✨

I'm over the moon to officially launch my summer small-batch pottery collection on my website! 🎉

I've been working on this collection for the past few months so I'm so pleased to see it come to life. I've re-stocked my starry and strawberry designs and thrown in a couple of experiments such as smaller vases and moon jars. As requested, I've brought back a few heart mugs too!

Thank you so much to those who sent me 'Back in stock requests' as these really helped me know what to make this time around. Commissions & pre-orders will be getting booked in for delivery today so any new orders will be booked in with those. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who's bought my pots & supported my small business. Know that I do in fact do a little happy jig whenever I get an order!

Please note: my pottery prices will be increasing with my next small-batch. My next firing will be in Autumn.

That's me all set up at 😁✨

I've brought along a good selection of my new pots so if you're wanting first dibs before they launch on my website next week, come on down!

I made my first sale at 10am on the dot, a lovely lady came down early as she knows my pots can go like hot cakes 😅

I've also brought my prints, cards, coasters & placemats so there's a good selection of everything! I'm exhibiting alongside lots of talented lovely people so there's lots of amazing artwork to see.

🍓 STRAWBERRY POTS 🍓

You might remember after my last small-batch pottery collection I umm-ed and ahh-ed the idea of stopping producing my strawberry pots. This is due to the fact that decorating them takes a lot longer than my other pots. However, my strawberry pots receive a lot of love and prove to be one of my most popular designs!

So after lots of thought and consideration, I've decided to continue producing these pots however they will receive a slight price increase compared to my other pots. This means I can still make them as beautiful as ever without having to cut corners or rush any stage of the process.

So expect some more strawberry mugs, jugs & vases in my next small-batch!

(hopefully due in the next few weeks)

A rare Saturday away from the gallery at in Saltburn with some super talented creatives and makers! It's been so lovely to travel slightly further afield with my work and see lots of familiar faces 🥰

Thank you sooo much to everyone who has been down and shopped my work, you're keeping the dream alive! 🩷

✨ 3 years of Residency ✨

I was asked the other day how long I've worked at the gallery for and I hadn't realised last month would have marked over 3 years now! So here's a toast-post to celebrate! 🥂

Although I've only been full-time self-employed for less than a year, I have been part-time self employed since 2021. I balanced my artist career alongside part-time jobs in hospitality and cleaning B&B's. I worked lovely jobs which I enjoyed but I knew the time had come where I had to make the big leap of faith. I'm happy to say: so far, so good!

I owe a massive thankyou to anyone who's supported my small business. Especially the people who shopped my work when I was just starting out. But also to those who like & share my work, tell their friends and gift my work to others. My childhood dream of being an artist is being fully lived out which fills my heart with so much joy ❤️

So here's to many more years of limitless creativity! 🎨

🫐✨ Customer photo ✨🫐

In my last small-batch of pottery I was commissioned to create this super cute blueberry collander. Originally I had designed it with handles but due to some technicalities the handles were no more.

I asked Lesley if she wanted me to make a new colander for her but she said without handles it would fit in her kitchen cupboards better anyways so we proceeded without!

💙

Thank you for the commission Lesley, I hope the colander serves your blueberries well!
