...maybe we are forever tossed by an unfathomable sea of Mysteries... Do we have to belong to a particular place? Yes, I have a place of birth, but triple measured genetics tell me I am pretty much from all Eastern half of Europe. Also I had a weird experience of belonging somewhere else on that continent... Many people tried to put me in a single box of a city in my passport. Others, hearing about my crazy pilgrimages, said "You found a special destination, so, take a plunge, leave everything, jump - and the Universe will catch you"... Isn't it a bit arrogant to claim to understand the Universe so precisely? Aren't there plenty of stories of people making their leap and just falling, and falling till it's "game over"? The past has passed. I am settling somewhere new (since December) and grow my own roots, knowing that I am also don't really belong anywhere. Will I regret abandoning all nostalgies? A place of my childhood. A place of another childhood...To regret is a decision. So I choose not to. I choose mysterious currents, twilight, ambiguity, unknown.

It's a special day for retrospection. I used to stress about finding someone who would like and buy my paintings. Creating art is a pleasure but one quickly runs out of walls in one's house. Now I have ended up in this place I can approach as a big breathing, living canvas-entity. And to exist mostly inside it myself, in a neverending story of discovery, creation, adjustment. I don't need to sell my Garden of Mysteries to anyone. No need to rush or compete. This is liberating. I miss travelling a bit, specially to South Tyrol, but I don't really want to spend much time away from my place. Rambling nearby sometime is fine. So, what's the lesson in this? It is difficult to tell yet. Come back in a few years... (The sheep and the honey are our neighbours')

So blessed to finally be at a place I can both love and call home... It has been about 1.5 months. Snow, fog, rising and falling water, starry skies, warming fire. Hugging otters, tame pheasants, owls, swans, herons, woodpeckers, squirrels, egrets, non-stop-singing starlings, nuthatches... Neighbours cats, cockerells and black sheep. Walkers and their dogs. Fiery sunrises and sunsets reflecting in water when we suddenly became a peninsula. 5 min walk to everything one needs in town. Nice and friendly people. Sounds of Welsh language...

Still a lot to do, inside and out. But can't believe here I am. Can't believe I deserve this peace while so many in the world suffer and die in violence. I hope to make the most of what I have got. Maybe the world might be improved one home at a time, if that place is filled with beauty, abundance, love, diversity and productive coexistence.
