عام 1932، وبعد تبرّع هيلين ستورو بإنشاء مركز Our Chalet، شهد المركز كفاح المارشالة منيرة صبري من أجل نشر الحركة الإرشادية، في وقت كانت فيه أنشطة الفتيات تواجه قيودًا مجتمعية قاسية، وكان الوجود المصري النسائي في المحافل الدولية ريادة
اليوم، وبعد مرور أكثر من تسعين عامًا، وفي المكان ذاته الذي وقفت فيه القائدة منيرة صبري، تحصد القائدة شذى صفوت ثمار كفاح، وصمود، وريادة قائدتها، لتمثّل مصر والوطن العربي للمرة الثانية علي التوالي بعد مشاركة القائدة اماني عصام العام الماضي كقائدات يشاركن في صياغة مستقبل الكوكب، و في الحفاظ على موارده من خلال سمينار هيلين ستورو المقام بسويسرا

In 1932, following Helen Storrow’s donation to establish Our Chalet, the centre witnessed the struggle of Marshal Munira Sabry, a pioneer of the Guiding Movement in Egypt, as she worked to spread Guiding at a time when girls’ activities faced strict social constraints. The presence of Egyptian women in international forums at that time was, in itself, an act of leadership and pioneering.
Today, more than ninety years later, and in the very same place where Munira Sabry once stood, Leader Shaza Safwat reaps the fruits of a legacy built on perseverance, resilience, and pioneering spirit.
She represents Egypt and the Arab Region for the second consecutive year, following the participation of Leader Amany Essam in 2025, as leaders contributing to shaping the future of our planet and working to protect its natural resources through the Helen Storrow Seminar held in Switzerland.
