Susi’s Dreams and Dress-Up Dilemmas

Exploring the space between painting and sculpture, childhood memories and the visual codes of femininity Did I as a child ever realise how damn sexy those paper dolls were. Nope, but I still wanted to be like them.
Still working out if times have changed or not. I hope so.

Die Ausstellung ist zu Ende – vielen Dank an alle, die vorbeigekommen sind, sich Zeit für die Arbeiten genommen und mit uns das Gespräch gesucht haben.
Ein letzter stiller Moment im Garten, wo Malerei, Skulptur und Natur so schön zusammengefunden haben.
Ein besonderer Dank gilt Kerstin Hohm für die wunderbare Zusammenarbeit und ihre herzliche Gastfreundschaft.

The exhibition has come to an end — thank you to everyone who visited, stopped for a conversation, and spent time with the work.
A final quiet moment in the garden, where painting, sculpture and nature came together so beautifully.

A corner of colour in a home.
These small works can be seen once again next weekend in Mömlingen, at the wonderful Galerie Atelier Kerstin Hohm.
I love how paintings change a room — and how a room changes the way we see a painting.

A quiet dialogue between painting and sculpture.
Colour, texture and form meet in a shared space — my abstract painting alongside Kerstin Hohm’s ceramic figure. I love the way the layered surfaces speak to one another: one flat, one bodily; one open and shifting, the other still and watchful.
