Each Line one Breath

With his latest unique engraving, John Franzen explores the delicate relationship between human existence, time and the physical act of creation.

The luminous, mirror-like gold surface shifts with the light and the viewer’s perspective, creating a fascinating dialogue between the permanence of the engraved lines and the fleeting nature of each breath.

In A Bubble by renowned German light artist Hans Kotter unfolds through constantly shifting colour, reflection and spatial illusion. As the light changes, the work seems to transform before our eyes — opening up an immersive visual space that oscillates between depth, movement and pure light.

AROUND THE SUN — Hilde Trip

365 preserved dandelions.
One for every day it takes us to travel around the sun.

Arranged in a precise spiral, each individual dandelion becomes a marker of time — fragile, fleeting, yet preserved. What we usually associate with a brief moment in nature is transformed into a meditation on the passing of a year, on wishes, memory and transience.

In Around the Sun, Hilde Trip brings together two recurring elements of her practice: the vulnerability of natural materials and our desire to hold on to what cannot last.

365 days. 365 dandelions. 365 wishes.

Sweet Magnolia by Hilde Trip. 🌿

Magnolia leaves, preserved in time and transformed into a contemporary still life. Once part of a living tree, each leaf carries traces of growth and transience — a quiet reflection on the fragile beauty of nature and the cycle of life.

Currently on view in our exhibition of the Dutch nature artist – Fragile Permanence at Schlieder Contemporary in Frankfurt’s city center.
