Building in #brick implies an ability to adapt to a location and its atmosphere as well as social structures. The regional identity and character of cities are often associated with a specific type of brick. At a time of digital production, brick factories today are almost anachronistic places, where elementary work processes with lots of manual work take place and the brick is given its specific sand-coloured, reddish-orange, or sometimes greenish shade through the firing of the minerals in the clay soil. Each stone is thus a unique specimen and as a haptically rich product also helps the architectural project tell its own story. On the basis of filigree paper models set on brick bases, the exhibition presents eight projects by kister scheithauer gross, which has been designing and working with the sustainable and sensual material for a quarter of a century.

The historical "Bernhard-Nocht-Institut" in Hamburg has been supplemented with a new building by kister scheithauer gross. Through utilizing the prominent plot of land in its entirety, what arises is a sort of ‘molar‘ of brick, which is connected with the existing building by a bridge and nevertheless opens up a view of the historical tower of the institute from a distance.

The “HolidayInn“ by kister scheithauer gross in HafenCity in Hamburg is characterized by the interplay of the rhythmic structure of the façade with its columns and pilaster strips in a bluish red-violet brick and the varying arrangement of the window elements, which break up the façade and hence give it a unique dynamic.

Our Story

The Architecture Forum Aedes has become one of the most successful institutions internationally for communicating architectural culture, urban design and similar topics. Aedes strives to focus public attention on the cultures of building and architecture and to present and convey architectural visions, sustainable urban concepts, urban planning and landscape architecture. In more than 350 exhibitions and catalogues in the typical Aedes format, renowned architects and current Pritzker-Award winners such as Zaha Hadid, Thom Mayne, Daniel Libeskind, Frank Gehry or Rem Koolhaas presented their work long before acquiring world fame. In addition to 10 to 16 exhibitions per year, the dialog with outside experts and an interested public is supported by simultaneous symposia, series of lectures and discussions. Aedes was founded in 1980 by Kristin Feireiss and Helga Retzer († 1984) in Berlin-Charlottenburg as the first private architecture gallery in Europe. In memoriam Kongresshalle Berlin was the title of the opening exhibition, which became a groundbreaking success. As one of its kind Aedes served as a prototypical model for many architecture-museums and similar institutions established later. In 1985 the architecture forum Aedes West moved to the S-Bahn vaults at Savignyplatz. In 1995, under the name of Aedes East, another branch was opened in Hackesche Höfe in Berlin-Mitte by Kristin Feireiss together with her partner Hans-Jürgen Commerell. In June 2006 Aedes moved to Pfefferberg, the grounds of a former brewery in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg.

NATURE IS THE ARCHITECT The paramount factor probing related to natural calamities is very vital. Environment care tops the list. Earthquakes, hurricanes, wind storms, tsunami, fire are major crisis players. Objects in the cosmos possess gravitation within and specific range in varying degrees. Anti gravitation runs simultaneously. Gravitation and anti-gravitation with harmony waves are members of the universal family. Gravitation helps to allow living on the earth and not letting off anything for safety. Anti-gravitation bursts in earthquakes, volcanoes and so on causing immense damage to life and matter. Here the gravitation can be pumped in to deposit waste to enter in such sensitive crisis zones. It would be either incinerated or merged inside the earth. Precious minerals are extracted from matter and waste disposal in such crisis zones would enter without exit like space black holes operation to absorb wear and tear, resulting out of ageing of objects. May be the waste disposal with fission and recycling would result in additional precious minerals besides other threads to harness electricity, water and natural care factors. Anti-gravitation is as important as gravitation. Light from the sun defies the source to reach the earth. Apparently the sunrays have powerful anti-gravitation property to spring out and travel fast. They further derive gravitation pull benefit in travel to reach the earth. Gravitation adds additional speed to light which needs to be deducted to arrive at the net velocity of light. Velocity of light elsewhere from other sun like objects to arrive at different objects would be dependent upon the concerned travel distance minus gravitation speed benefit. The light is to be analyzed to locate anti-gravitation atomic sub particles for application into commercial angle to reduce gravitation impact for surface, water and air travel with minimum energy inputs. Another interesting element in this context is that aged persons would be able to move with the least efforts. Without the sun, the earth would cool to minus 100 degrees. It provides energy and light which is the result of electromagnetic radiation. The sun is the largest object in the solar system with the diameter of 1,390,000 km. The sun is composed of hydrogen and helium. Electricity generation can be also on natural footing. Satellites can be positioned at convenient points in space to get reflected light from the sun as derived by the moon to land on the earth. Such a step would be delightful spreading cooling effect and reduce burden on street lighting and other areas in nights without interruption. Here satellites can be replaced after ageing and also added depending upon requirements. Light is life in development of seasons. Friction of light with matter generates useful energy on a perennial run in the universe. Happenings like cloud bursting, lightening etc. contain atomic sub particles which can benefit the life on the earth in bringing favourable seasons besides solving scarcity of essential needs. To reduce infrastructure- burden and also maintain clean environment, anti-gravitation inputs from sunrays could also benefit. The nature renders all the help of life requirements in addition to clues hidden to combat natural crisis situations. The understanding 2 Of gravitation and anti-gravitation atomic sub particles is the prime need. The nature is the architect of Universal Empire and rides the bicycle with two wheels powered by gravitation and anti-gravitation atomic sub particles strength with balanced move. Balancing is by harmonious waves arriving at objects which move beyond gravitation range in space. Keeping the environment clean by pulling the gravitation power would carry beneficial effect. Just like bicycle brakes for avoiding problems, to prevent natural crisis situations, a combination capsule of gravitation and anti-gravitation and harmony atomic sub particles- waves in the controlled fashion would present a wonderful and healthy scenario. Nature is the light house, housing infinite stars, planets and galaxies with a wide canvas of space umbrella constantly reflecting its splendor within with wide open secrets to understand. For this excellent safety and balancing operations, environment care is utmost. The more the environment is kept clean and pollution free on continual basis, reflection of the resources will be healthy particularly water, air, food in particular and other life needs in general. The Theory of Relativity need not confine to only prevalent earth conditions for discoveries and knowing the universe but to capture the relativity of the earth with at least major common features controlling the harmonious operations of the universe in totality. This angle would pave ways for searching space objects and living elsewhere. There may be different modes of living and nonliving too which knowledge would be useful for medical and other healthy factors. The study in the nutshell is to be focused on common threads of the universal harmonious path. The equilibrium and equivalence modes are the keys in the space. Interestingly the universe has come into existence carrying infinite life with its own cradle in which all that exists is safely accommodated. This process of universal phenomenon is so enormous and must be out of series of recycling features of the atomic sub particles and may not be the result of a big bang alone. H V Navangul Age 82
