“Beyond the form”

Vernissage: Sunday, 10 May, 15:00–18:00
Exhibition: 7–17 May
Photobastei, 3rd floor

Natalia Bugaenko is an artist living between Germany and Switzerland. Her work captures personal impressions of life in Switzerland, blending intimate perspective with universal feeling.

Trained at the Academy of Design in Kharkiv, she began as a graphic designer and illustrator, working with linocut and woodcut before moving into painting. Today, she mainly works with oil and acrylic.

Her style is inspired by Fauvism: bold color, strong contrasts, and emotional intensity. At the center of her work is the search for natural energy and harmony. The female figure appears as a symbol of grace, strength, and connection to nature.

Her paintings create calm, yet evoke inner movement, inviting reflection and quiet intensity.

Sustainable art begins with seeing potential in what already exists. It transforms everyday materials into something meaningful, asking us to rethink value, presence, and space.

I am pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition of Evgeny Taboriskiy at Photobastei

His early works used natural materials like stone and branches; today he expands this language with semi-precious minerals, construction fragments, and ordinary objects. In his hands, they gain new rhythms, new balance, and an unexpected poetry.

Vernissage: Friday 28 November, 18:00–21:00
Exhibition: 27–30 November

We are delighted to invite you for the vernissage of the personal exhibition by Vitaliia Shkurpelo.

Each painting captures a frozen moment, conveying a sense of lightness and brightness. Inspired by the French Impressionists‘ philosophy of „capturing the moment,“ Vitaliya Shkurpelo brings to life eternal lotus blossoms, the ephemeral flutter of firefly wings, and the quiet poetry of nature. Her works create a space where time stands still, inviting viewers into her enchanting and dreamlike worlds.

A Cyprus-based artist, Vitaliya has been studying at the Cyprus Academy of Art (CAA), a partner institution of the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in the UK, since 2022. Living in diverse cultural landscapes has sharpened her eye for beauty in the smallest details, which she translates onto the canvas. Her work invites viewers to immerse themselves in luminous waters, wander through serene landscapes and reach out to touch the elusive light.

VERNISSAGE | Friday 21 March, 17:30-20:30
