L’autunno in Bregaglia è, soprattutto, castagne! 🌰
Protagonista del bosco, della cucina e del Festival, la castagna porta con sé la memoria di antichi mestieri e tradizioni. Al Museo Ciäsa Granda potrete vedere la ricostruzione di una cascina per l’essicazione e gli attrezzi usati per la raccolta e la pestatura di questo frutto nutriente e gustoso. 🍂

Der Herbst im Bergell ist vor allem eines: Kastanien!🌰
Protagonistin des Waldes, der Küche und des Festivals, trägt die Kastanie die Erinnerung an alte Handwerke und Traditionen in sich.
Im Museo Ciäsa Granda können Sie die Rekonstruktion einer Trocknungshütte (Cascina) sowie die Werkzeuge bestaunen, die zum Sammeln und Stampfen dieser nahrhaften und wohlschmeckenden Frucht verwendet wurden. 🍂

Autumn in Bregaglia is, above all, chestnuts!🌰
Protagonist of the forest, the kitchen and the Festival, the chestnut carries with it the memory of ancient crafts and traditions.
At the Museo Ciäsa Granda you can see the reconstruction of a drying hut (cascina) and the tools used for harvesting and pounding this nutritious and tasty fruit.🍂

Nella mostra “Corbetta, Giacometti, Varlin” si confrontano due grandi artisti cari al Museo Ciäsa Granda. Varlin (W***y Guggenheim), con il suo realismo espressionista; Alberto Giacometti, con la pennellata incisoria e le tinte scure. Entrambi scavano la superficie del modello — il comune amico, il dottor Serafino Corbetta — per restituire uno sguardo profondissimo sulla realtà umana.
La mostra è ancora visitabile fino al 18 ottobre. Non perdetela!

In der Ausstellung „Corbetta, Giacometti, Varlin“ begegnen sich zwei große Künstler, die dem Museo Ciäsa Granda besonders am Herzen liegen.
Varlin (W***y Guggenheim) mit seinem expressionistischen Realismus;
Alberto Giacometti mit seinem einschneidenden Pinselstrich und den dunklen Tönen. Beide graben unter die Oberfläche des Modells —
ihres gemeinsamen Freundes, des Arztes Serafino Corbetta —
und schenken dem Betrachter einen tiefgründigen Blick auf die menschliche Wirklichkeit.
Die Ausstellung ist noch bis zum 18. Oktober zu sehen. Verpassen Sie sie nicht!

In the exhibition “Corbetta, Giacometti, Varlin” two great artists particularly important to the Museo Ciäsa Granda are brought face to face.
Varlin (W***y Guggenheim), with his expressionist realism; Alberto Giacometti, with his incisive brushwork and dark tones. Both dig beneath the surface of their model — their mutual friend, Doctor Serafino Corbetta — to return a profoundly deep gaze upon human reality.

Fin dal Tardo Medioevo la Bregaglia e i Grigioni furono terre di emigrazione, in particolare verso la vicina Repubblica di Venezia. Il lavoro principale era quello di pasticcere: zuccherieri, caffettieri e maestri dell’arte dolciaria. Dal XVIII secolo iniziò una migrazione in altre località d’Europa. Questa storia è ancora viva a Palazzo Castelmur e al Museo Ciäsa Granda. Qui, al primo piano, si trova la ricostruzione di una bottega di pasticcere: il modello è un negozio francese di Rochefort del XIX secolo, gestito dalla famiglia Scartazzini di Promontogno.

Seit dem Spätmittelalter, waren die Bregaglia und die Graubünden Auswanderungsgebiete, insbesondere in die benachbarte Republik Venedig. Die Haupttätigkeit war die des Konditors: Zuckerbäcker, Kaffeewirte und Meister der Zuckerbäckerkunst. Seit dem 18. Jahrhundert begann die Migration in andere Orte Europas. Diese Geschichte lebt noch heute im Palazzo Castelmur und im Museo Ciäsa Granda weiter. Hier, im ersten Stock, befindet sich die Rekonstruktion einer Zuckerbäckerwerkstatt: das Vorbild ist ein französisches Geschäft aus dem 19. Jahrhundert in Rochefort, das von der Familie Scartazzini aus Promontogno geführt wurde.

Since the Late Middle Ages, the Bregaglia and the Grisons were lands of emigration, particularly towards the neighbouring Republic of Venice. The main occupation was that of pastry chef: confectioners (sugar workers), coffee-house keepers and masters of the art of confectionery. Since the 18th century began the migration to other places in Europe. This story is still alive at Palazzo Castelmur and at the Museo Ciäsa Granda. Here, on the first floor, you will find the reconstruction of a confectioner’s shop: the model is a 19th-century French shop in Rochefort, run by the Scartazzini family from Promontogno.

Ernst Scheidegger (1923-2016), dal 1943 amico di Alberto Giacometti, fu molto legato alla Bregaglia. Il suo lascito comprende circa 5000 fotografie 📸 che hanno come oggetto proprio la valle. Ancora oggi, gli abitanti della Bregaglia lo ricordano con affetto, e in particolare ricordano la sua Porsche rossa🚗, i Toscani che fumava 🚬 e il suo cane Boxer🐕.
La mostra è ancora visitabile fino al 18 ottobre!

Ernst Scheidegger (1923–2016), seit 1943 Freund von Alberto Giacometti, war eng mit dem Bergell verbunden. Sein Vermächtnis umfasst rund 5.000 Fotografien 📸, die genau dieses Tal zum Gegenstand haben. Noch heute erinnern sich die Bewohner des Bergells mit Zuneigung an ihn – besonders an seinen roten Porsche 🚗, die Toscani, die er rauchte 🚬, und seinen Boxer 🐕.
Die Ausstellung ist noch bis zum 18. Oktober zu besichtigen!

Ernst Scheidegger (1923–2016), friend of Alberto Giacometti since 1943, was deeply connected to the Bregaglia. His legacy includes around 5,000 photographs 📸 dedicated to the valley itself. Even now, the people of the Bregaglia remember him with affection — especially his red Porsche 🚗, the Toscano ci**rs he smoked 🚬, and his Boxer dog 🐕.

Nella sala accanto alla Stüa del Museo Ciäsa Granda si apre un viaggio tra i tesori della mineralogia della Val Bregaglia. 💎Una valle nata dall’erosione del fiume Maira, dove le montagne continuano ancora oggi a raccontare la loro evoluzione. 🌄

Im Saal neben der Stüa des Museo Ciäsa Granda
öffnet sich eine Reise zu den Schätzen der Mineralogie des Val Bregaglia. 💎 Ein Tal, entstanden durch die Erosion des Flusses Maira, wo die Berge noch heute von ihrer Entwicklung erzählen. 🌄

In the room next to the historic Stüa of the Museo Ciäsa Granda a journey unfolds among the treasures of Val Bregaglia’s mineralogy. 💎 A valley born from the erosion of the Maira river, where the mountains still tell the story of their evolution today. 🌄
