THE hardest advice to take, is our own. It's easy to talk another person up, and make them feel good to set them up for success. But when it comes to practicing what we preach, it's like seeing English instructions as foreign. We can read it, understand it, but second guess every last second and every word, when we have to apply it to ourselves. Not because we're wrong in any way, but because we've been heavily programmed to believe we are less than and unworthy of the same things.
I never truly realized how much trauma I carry, until change happens, and I have to rely on my own advice, and try to believe it.
