Luke Edward Stripp (b.1995 Surrey, British Columbia) is an artist driven by intensity, passion, and the raw essence of human emotion. His work is a visceral exploration of struggle, resilience, and desire—each piece embodying the tension between chaos and control. Through his distinctive use of colour, form, and abstraction, Luke challenges perception, inviting viewers into a world where stories r

emain untold, waiting to be found.

Colour is a defining force in his work, despite—or perhaps because of—his deutan-strong colour blindness. His approach to colour is instinctual, breaking traditional rules to create palettes that resonate on an emotional level rather than a literal one. Each year, starting in 2025, he began to dedicate his work to a single colour palette, immersing himself in its symbolism and psychological weight, allowing the hues to dictate the emotion of the collection.

From 2020 to 2022, Luke operated his own art gallery, under the shortened name Luke Eddie Stripp. Seeking a deeper connection with his process, he later transitioned to a home-based studio, a space that grounds his work in solitude and focus. This shift allowed for greater exclusivity in his art—his works are not mass-produced, nor are they easily categorized.

His paintings exist as rare creations, each assigned a number rather than a traditional title—Luke Edward Stripp Artwork —with their full identity revealed only to collectors. The decision to name or share a piece’s story is left entirely in the hands of those who acquire it, reinforcing the idea that art is personal, subjective, and ever-evolving. This rarity and exclusivity make each work more than just a painting; it is a hidden narrative, an experience, a choice.

At the core of Luke’s philosophy is the belief that art should remain open-ended. His pieces are not answers but invitations—portals into the depths of human emotion, perception, and meaning.
