Spirit of Nature

Spirit of Nature Jane Adams Clark Landscape Artist Painter, Canadian National Poet. Every painting starts out with a Recovery left Jane with one hand paralysed.

2018 - A stroke closed all paintings and writings for 8 months. So using the one hand left her, using large canvases she manages to pry open the glaciers with oil paint allowing us to understand what has transpired in the 25 year lapse. Driving north covering 5,500km in two weeks, renting a helicopter with pilot to reach three particular glaciers, check out the great Stikine river, fly over a • kno

wn to her, dormant volcano, to explore the furthest reaches of NWBC, primarily the glaciers previously painted 25 years before. Using a helicopter and travel by car, she managed to visit the site of three glaciers with her large canvases and work on site. Namely the Bear Glacier previously known as the Blue Glacier which upon receding lost its famous claw shaped holes that once reflected the colour blue. Jane also visited the classic Canadian Salmon Glacier and further on instructed the pilot to land directly on the Great Glacier itself. On returning home she master minded a new style of exhibit with paintings of each glacier visited, together with a painting from 25 years before, plus photos and detailed maps for explanation. The exhibit was named one of the best ever produced by the Gallery with the Artist present to answer any questions. Jane only answered questions about her artwork, refusing to answer those of scientific speculation, rather leaving those as unanswered. This exhibit was covered by Squire Barnes from Global TV Vancouver. read more on her Bio www.janeclark.ca
