Getting to the bottom of things. This sea container was packed to the doors and the roof with artifacts moved from our former home in Port Hope. After a lot of work we are finally able to see some daylight. Scout just wanted to remind all the CFFM followers that our fundraising antique and vintage show is coming up June 7th, 10-3 at the Cobourg Lions Centre (near the fire hall on
Elgin Street). She loves a good rummage for antique and vintage items. How about you?

Public Notice, the CFFM is NOT yet open to the public. While our target date was May 15th, we were not able to meet it. There is a lot of work to do to get this former ice hockey arena turned into a functioning museum. Our Board and Volunteers have been working very hard but unfortunately we are still not ready. We will require at least several more weeks before we can attempt a soft opening. We regret any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused and we will widely advertise the opening once the date is firmly established. We appreciate your patience and assure you that it will be well worth the wait.

Completed movable wall section in foreground. Another under construction in the background. Plywood top to hang artifacts and text panels, sound absorbing insulation covered with cloth on the lower half. Trying to reduce the echo and sound distortion in the arena. Hoping a few of these homebuilt base traps will do the trick.
