Carbon Museum The Village of Carbon Museum represents the a history of coal mining, farming, and various other events that took place in the Village and surrounding areas.

There is a diorama presentation of the still unsolved 1921 murder mystery and gift shop. The main feature of our museum is a diorama of the 1921 Unsolved Carbon Murder Mystery. Come and decide for yourselves "WHO DID IT".

The Carbon Museum Open May 20, 2023.
For May and June the museum will only be open on Saturday and Sundays.
Starting July through to the end of August the museum will be open Thursday through to Sundays.

We are excited to see all of you this summer. We have some new displays and of course new items in the gift shop.

The museum is hosting a entry level "needle felting" workshop in April. We need a minimum of 6 people in order for the class to go ahead.
Felting is an ancient art form that began when indigenous people came together in tribes and communities. People would gather wool from their animals to keep babies warm and dry. Later they started to decorate their clothing so felting and beading began. Each tribe developed their own styles.
Please send me a message by February 28, 2023, if you are interested. Cost per person $30.00.
