Toronto Free Gallery

Toronto Free Gallery Toronto Free Gallery is a not-for-profit art space dedicated to providing a forum for social, cultural and urban issues expressed through all media.

Toronto Free Gallery is intended to be a creative laboratory. We aim to provide artists with a space to experiment, explore new ideas, question norms and challenge both themselves and their audiences. TFG occupies a distinct role within the city's cultural ecology. We are the only gallery in Toronto whose programmes consistently highlight and offer creative responses to urgent social issues such a

s public space, urban development, and sustainability. We are also unique in Toronto by consistently fostering collaboration between creative communities through exhibitions and events that include visual artists, graphic designers, film-makers, performance artists, writers, architects, urban planners, ecologists, and public transit advocates. Recognizing our achievements, a recent Toronto Star article described us as, "nurturing a good-natured civic-mindedness across the city's creative communities." –Murray Whyte
