A message from our fearless leader
With just over two weeks to go, I trust everybody is looking forward to the rally as I am. Should be a good one and well attended.
I will be travelling up on Thursday avoiding hwys with a group of townies from downtown TO.
The reception desk will be set-up at the entrance of the Joli Voyageur from Thursday on.
Please register when you arrive to get your wrist band if you paid for the meal plan, and claim your tshirt and/or OGR cup if you have ordered them. Check in with the JV for your accommodation
Thursday is a kind of free day, milling around admiring new and old arrivals, reaquainting friendships, ride where you like, relax enjoy.
Friday I suspect more arrivals and an afternoon ride lead by Guy (tbd). In the evening the Lavigne Tavern is a popular spot for dinner and drinks.
For those with the meal plan, Saturday morning cooked breakfast before the longer ride lead by Gordon with herd control by Elisabeth, and in the evening cook your own bbq steak, trimmings, dessert, Vecchia Romagna brandy and Grappa.
Follows presentation of nomination plaques: longest ride, best vintage, best Moto Guzzi, best hard luck story!
Later ci**rs, long stories, lies and arguments about engine oils or points v electronics or liquid v air cooling around the bon fire.
Sunday morning coffee, doughnut and off you go with your God. See you all next year!
For you information: the coffee available all weekend, ground for the percolator as well as for the espresso, has been generously donated by our own Guzzista Kara Isert, the Grappa is offered with compliments by Guzzi gal Alice Rovere, Vecchia Romagna by yours truly while the Lavigne Tavern is offering burger and trimming on Friday night for $15.
BRGDS and ride safe.
Luca
