Vous avez jusqu’au 21 décembre 2025 pour visionner notre programme en ligne de 18 œuvres récentes (2022-2025) explorant la culture Internet, les esthétiques numériques ainsi que la déconstruction de l’autodocumentation, à travers des récits à la fois personnels et politiques.

Cette année, le programme s’appuie sur une collaboration avec en intégrant deux œuvres issues de leur collection Vithéque, datant respectivement de 1971 et 2007, afin d’élargir le cadre historique de la programmation.

Galerie Galerie aimerait remercier tou·te·s les artistes ayant accepté notre invitation, ainsi que Vidéographe pour la collaboration et le Conseil des arts de Montréal pour son soutien.

Chaud Maintenant (Hot Right Now) V is available online! Until December 21, 2025, watch our program featuring 18 recent works (2022-2025) that explore Internet culture, digital aesthetics, and the deconstruction of self-captured personal and political narratives.

This year, the program also draws on a collaboration with VIDÉOGRAPHE, incorporating two works from their collection, dating from 1971 and 2007 respectively, in order to broaden the historical scope of the programming.

Galerie Galerie would like to thank all the artists who accepted our invitation, as well as Vidéographe for the collaboration and the Conseil des arts de Montréal for its support.

Merci! Thank you! ♥️🌹🎬

Yesterday was truly wholesome and cinematic! Thank you to everyone who came to the première of Chaud Maintenant (Hot Right Now) V. Gathered at the iconic Patro Villeray, we laughed, cried, enjoyed, and sometimes got scared, but mostly, we celebrated video art together. The night gave us a real sense of community, and we’re feeling deeply grateful Right Now.

La soirée d’hier était vraiment touchante et cinématographique ! Merci à tous qui sont venus à la première de Chaud Maintenant (Hot Right Now) V. Réunis à l’emblématique Patro Villeray, nous avons ri, pleuré, apprécié et parfois eu peur, mais surtout, nous avons célébré ensemble l’art vidéo. Cette soirée nous a donné un véritable sentiment d’appartenance à une communauté, et nous en sommes profondément reconnaissants Right Now.

Son recueil de poésie jeunesse, La pluie des autres, a été finaliste au Prix du Gouverneur général. Elle anime le podcast Choses sérieuses et elle est collaboratrice pour La Presse et Radio-Canada.

𝙇𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚 (2024) is a web work by Océane Buxton, co-produced by Galerie Galerie with the support of the Conseil des arts de Montréal. The work is part of Galerie Galerie’s Webtheque.

𝐃𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐧é 𝐁. is a poet, essayist, translator and columnist specializing in web culture. Her essay Maquillée, translated into several languages, won the Prix des libraires. Her collection of poetry for young readers, La pluie des autres, was a finalist for the Governor General’s Award. She hosts the podcast Choses sérieuses and is a contributor to La Presse and Radio-Canada.

comes to an end! Last Thursday, six practitioners of socially engaged art gathered to discuss the unreliability of representation when it comes to the "imaging" of their work online. Specifically, through the frame of the Instagram grid square, challenges such as authorship, collaboration, documentation, performance, process, and language were discussed. In attendance online were more practitioners and artists who interacted with the six guests and pushed the collective to reflect on the stakes of representing such practices.

La clôture de ! Jeudi dernier, six praticien.ne.s d'art socialement engagé explorent l'exactitude des représentations et la « mise en image » de leur travail en ligne. Iels discutent l'enjeu de la collaboration, de la documentation, de la performance, de l'écriture, du processus, et du crédit en relation au cadre que nous offre le carré Instagram. Les participant.e.s du webinaire présent.e.s en ligne ont incité les six invité.e.s à approfondir leur réflexion autour des mécanismes de ces représentations.
