Incredible afternoon meeting renowned Canadian art author and historian Roger H. Boulet ✍️.

It was an absolute privilege to talk shop and look through a few of his definitive masterworks: "The Canadian Earth: Landscape Paintings by the Group of Seven" The Canadian Earth: Landscape paintings by the Group of Seven - Goodreads and one of my personal Canadian Art favourites "The Tranquility and the Turbulence", which details the incredible life and prints of Walter J. Phillips. He particularly enjoyed seeing some of our WJ Phillips works including a 1923 Watercolor from Roger’s hometown in St. Norbert.
If you love Canadian art, all of his books are absolute treasures.
Thank you for your time, Roger!

If these walls could talk... 🏛️🐴

Established well over 125 years ago, Tergesen's remains the heart of Gimli. Artist Lawren Rich has perfectly captured that timeless small-town Manitoba spirit in this new 30” x 30” acrylic painting. Working from an archival 1899 photo, shortly after Tergesen’s was built. Rich’s style beautifully handles light and atmosphere to pull you straight into pioneering-era Manitoba. The square format gives this vintage scene a strikingly modern edge, making it a perfect fit for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

Bring a monumental piece of Interlake history into your home collection.

ATTN: Farm Families 🧑‍🌾 🚜
New Work Alert 🚨 by Eric Ouimet titled
“WHERE GIANTS SLEEP”

🌾 Raised on a farm in Manitoba, gallery artist Eric Ouimet brings an authentic, deeply personal touch to his rural landscapes. His incredible new hand-pulled screenprint, “WHERE GIANTS SLEEP”, captures that familiar, peaceful moment when the heavy farm machinery is put to bed after a long day in the fields. By distilling the scene down to striking teal-greens and a single, brilliant strip of golden light, Eric turns a classic Manitoba quonset into a piece of modern visual poetry. The John Deere looks to of been just been put to bed, after a long day on the field.

“WHERE GIANTS SLEEP”

Screenprint on paper
Limited Edition of 25.

“WAIT FOR ME MOM!" by Sharon Cory is available and on display in the gallery.
Measuring a stunning 36”x60”, this vibrant acrylic piece beautifully captures a fleeting, high-energy moment in the Canadian wild. With masterful use of expressive strokes and intense, unexpected color turns a Manitoba wildlife scene into an absolute masterpiece. We love the urgency of the young moose racing to catch up with its family—it brings so much life and narrative to any wall. (A special thanks to Caley Brown Photography for the reference photos that helped inspire this work!)

“When I’m looking at birds on the beach, photos that my friends have taken of animals, or even my dogs, they seem to exhibit parallel behaviours and the same societal structures as humans. Geese live in the field behind us, married couples sqawking at each other. The gulls screech when someone’s not sharing just like kids would. Everyone looks after the babies, family structure is always present. I feel this kinship with them, as though I’m part of their secret society and a lot of it is because I live in this close-to-nature lake community. I get to be The Observer.”
