The lower layers in this painting represent the Earth’s history. The ancient dinosaur life created oil for today’s use. Next, various depths of water levels nourish our Mother Earth at ground level, it is vital for life. Various colour bars represent the Native natural laws of Mother Earth. The Mother Earth is dancing, happy to greet a beautiful forecast for the coming next day. Nature is replenished with water. The colourful sky talks of the beautiful bright day to come in the morning and gives good sign to go hunting and fishing. We can expect a great day coming. - Artist Statement, 2011

Fun Fact: Alex painted 6 other originals with the title including Sky Talk in it also.

We were so grateful the Cold Lake area residents came out and supported our film launch!

This lovely 1995 Alex Janvier original titled "Denesoulini" from the Northern Athabascan Series, is currently available at Levi's auction.

It's beauty is a lovely❤️ tribute to the Denesuline people.
