Prince George Ringette Association Mourns the Loss of Beloved Coach Keith Sullivan
Prince George, BC October 2025
The Prince George Ringette Association is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Keith Sullivan, a beloved coach, mentor, and friend whose love for the game shaped generations of athletes and families in our community.
For almost 40 years, Keith was the heart and soul of Prince George Ringette. He served as a coach, a referee, a board member, and a referee mentor, guiding players and officials with patience, kindness, and unwavering belief in the power of sport to build character and community.
Keith did not just coach teams, he built family. Many of the players he once coached grew up to have children of their own who later played under his guidance. He was known for his booming laugh, his calm encouragement from the bench, and the quiet way he made everyone feel seen and valued, both on and off the ice.
His lifetime of service was recognized across the province and the country. Keith was inducted into the Ringette BC Hall of Fame, a tribute to his decades of leadership and generosity to the sport. In 2024, he received the Sport BC Presidents Award on behalf of Ringette BC, honouring his outstanding volunteer contributions. He was also recognized by Ringette Canada for his remarkable dedication and impact on the sport nationwide, featured at

A special tribute will be held during the upcoming Prince George Ringette Tournament on November 8, time and location TBD, where the ringette community will come together to celebrate Keith’s legacy, his passion for the game, and the countless lives he touched.
As we mourn this tremendous loss, we also celebrate the incredible life of a man who gave so much of himself to our players, our sport, and our city. Keith’s spirit will forever skate alongside us.
“For the love of the game.”
