Joanne is a francophone Acadian (nee LeBlanc) originally from the village of Abram’s River, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. She now resides in Halifax.
Having retired in April 2017 after a work life (pharmacist) for 36 years, she is now able to pursue other interests. She has rekindled her interest for art and it has become her passion. Since 2018, she has taken lessons with local teaching artists, and attended many art-related workshops. She loves to paint the many beautiful things that inspire her, always experimenting with colour.
She has sold art at a variety of Nova Scotia galleries and shows as well as privately. She is also a member of Painter’s Palette.She received an Honorable Mention for her work Prince’s Lodge at Dawn, at the 2024 CAS Show at the Chase Gallery, Nova Scotia Archives.
She has done numerous commissions and welcomes inquiries.

Joanne est francophone (nee LeBlanc), et a l’origine du village d’Abram’s River, comté de Yarmouth en Nouvelle-Écosse.
Ayant prise sa retraite en Avril 2017 après une vie professionnelle (pharmacienne) de 36 ans, elle est maintenant capable de poursuivre d’autres intérêts. Elle a découvert une passion pour l’art et a suit des cours avec des artistes locale. Elle s’inspire de la beauté qui l’entoure et experimente avec la couleur.
Elle a vendu plusieurs de ses œuvres chez Karl Panton Gallery depuis oct 2020-nov 2022, ainsi que l’Arche Halifax, AAAA, CAS, DVAS, le groupe Dal Riada, et Gallery 215, et Better than Picasso Cooperative. Et en privé. Elle a reçu une mention honorable pendant l’éxposition d’art de CAS en 2024, pour son œuvre, Prince’s Lodge at Dawn, au Chase Gallery à Halifax.
Elle a réalisé nombreuses commandes et invite toute demandes de renseignements.
