Designed before the Oca store foundation, the Mocho stool is undoubtedly one of Sergio Rodrigues masterpieces.
As a free interpretation of a typical rural artifact, the cow-milking stool, the Mocho stool synthesizes both functions' simplicity: a piece that could work as a seat and support for objects. It is a low piece on which the user has to crouch to sit, aided by a handle that allows it to be moved anywhere.
The year was 1954, and Rodrigues sought a skilled lathe-operating carpenter and showed him the stool design. Right there, they produced the very first piece. It has been a success since then, arousing great interest from the public and other furniture manufacturers.
A selection of Mocho Stools is currently available through Bossa, alongside other benches and stools in our collection. Explore the full Benches & Stools section on our website, or contact our team to make your selection.
