Welcoming NZ-based legend, dear friend and pioneer of our art journey, Andy Leleisiu’ao into our home and future project space in Brussels has been absolutely unreal. You would have told this to us six years ago, we would have cried of happiness. Today, after having him at ours for a few weeks, that’s exactly what we did 💖 we feel so blessed, for all this richness that travels time and space.

« The great artists are those who impose their personal vision upon humanity ». Philip Trusttum was definitely one of these. His oeuvre was an extension of how he approached life: fully. Philip was 1000%. No looking back. Full turbo. Authentic like no-one. « Do you like tennis? » was one of the questions we remember him asking us when welcoming us into his home. The smile that appeared on his face when answering « yes », followed by the vivid conversations about sports, arts and life it sparked will forever remain. Philip didn’t hesitate a second for becoming part of our project; he didn’t care about what other people might think; what the art community might say; he simply listened to his heart and that made him so special. Ultimately, he trusted us for showing his art in Europe. He was the first artist we exhibited in our freshly opened gallery. He believed in us and made us so proud. We wouldn’t be where we are today without him. While we are deeply sadened by his passing away, we are extremely grateful for having crossed path with such an extraordinary artist and soul. As we told him in our last e-mail, we’ll continue make him proud and show Europe the incredible artist he was and will forever remain. Thanks for everything. With all our love, Arthur and Eugenie 💖

“I didn’t know what to expect when hopping on my plane to Auckland for a very short visit. And I get it. I mean, HOW COULD I HAVE EXPECTED ANYTHING LIKE THIS 🥹🔥🫶. It made me realise, once more, that the journey with the Nomadic Art Gallery is our forever project (also speaking on behalf of Arthur)- and it just fills our heart with so much love and gratitude to see how many people it still connects today. I still pinch myself to see that a bold dream of two young people turned into a shared journey between two continents. This is without any doubt, our biggest achievement 💖💖💖💖💖💖 We can’t wait to show Europe more of the New Zealand art scene and I personally can’t wait to pass on all the love and warmth I got blessed with over the week. Because immersing oneself into an art scene, is first and foremost taking a deep dive into far away horizons, embracing new cultures and stories told from the heart. Thanks a million for making me feel the richest woman on earth 💋💋💋💋💋”

After months of silence, we are BEYOND happy to announce we bought our VERY OWN space, in the heart of Brussels, to further strenghten socio-cultural ties between Europe and Oceania. Given the geopolitical uncertainties, global budgetary cuts towards culture and climate disasters, we believe it is more important than EVER to do so. We can’t say much more at the moment, only that it will take quite some work and lots of meetings to find right partnerships and meet like-minded people, READY FOR INTERNATIONAL AMBITIONS!
