শিল্প ও ঐতিহ্যের অনন্য ঠিকানা: শিল্পাচার্য জয়নুল আবেদিন সংগ্রহশালা

বাংলাদেশের আধুনিক শিল্পকলার পথিকৃৎ শিল্পাচার্য জয়নুল আবেদিন–এর স্মৃতি, সৃজনশীলতা ও সংগ্রামের জীবন্ত দলিল হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে ময়মনসিংহে অবস্থিত শিল্পাচার্য জয়নুল আবেদিনসংগ্রহশালা। ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদের তীরে মনোরম পরিবেশে অবস্থিত এ জাদুঘরটি শিল্পপ্রেমীদের জন্য এক অনন্য গন্তব্য।

ময়মনসিংহ শহরের কেন্দ্রের কাছেই ব্রহ্মপুত্র নদের তীরে এই সংগ্রহশালার অবস্থান, যা সহজেই যেকোনো স্থান থেকে পৌঁছানো যায়।

এখানে সংরক্ষিত রয়েছে—
• জয়নুল আবেদিনের বিখ্যাত দুর্ভিক্ষের চিত্রমালা
• তাঁর অঙ্কিত স্কেচ, জলরং ও বিভিন্ন মাধ্যমের শিল্পকর্ম
• ব্যক্তিগত ব্যবহার্য সামগ্রী ও আলোকচিত্র

এই সংগ্রহশালা শুধু একটি জাদুঘর নয়, এটি বাংলাদেশের শিল্প-ইতিহাসের এক অমূল্য ভান্ডার। এটি আমাদের মুক্তিযুদ্ধ-পূর্ব সামাজিক বাস্তবতা, গ্রামীণ জীবন ও মানুষের সংগ্রামের শিল্পরূপ তুলে ধরে।

সংগ্রহশালাটি বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় জাদুঘর–এর একটি শাখা এবং সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়–এর আওতাধীন।

সংগ্রহশালাটি পরিদর্শন করে -
১। বাংলাদেশের শিল্প ইতিহাসকে কাছ থেকে জানার সুযোগ
২। শিল্পাচার্যের অসাধারণ সৃষ্টির সরাসরি অভিজ্ঞতা
৩। শান্ত, মনোরম পরিবেশে সময় কাটানোর সুযোগ
৪। শিক্ষার্থী, গবেষক ও শিল্পপ্রেমীদের জন্য আদর্শ স্থান

আহসান মঞ্জিল জাদুঘর, ঢাকা

আহসান মঞ্জিল জাদুঘর পুরাতন ঢাকার পাশ দিয়ে বয়ে চলা বুড়িগঙ্গা নদীর উত্তর তীরে অবস্থিত। এটি সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ের আওতাধীন বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় জাদুঘরের একটি শাখা জাদুঘর। মুঘল স্থাপত্যের অনন্য নিদর্শন এ জাদুঘরটির ঐতিহাসিক ও ঐতিহ্যিক মূল্য অপরিসীম।

ঢাকার বিদ্যুৎ ও পরিশোধিত পানি ব্যবস্থা প্রচলনের সূতিকাগার এ আহসান মঞ্জিল। আহসান মঞ্জিল নামকরণ করা হয়েছে নবাব খাজা আব্দুল গণির পুত্র নবাব খাজা আহসানুল্লাহর নামানুসারে। আহসান মঞ্জিল জাদুঘর প্রতিষ্ঠার পূর্বে এ মঞ্জিল বা আবাসনের এক সমৃদ্ধ ইতিহাস রয়েছে। জালালপুর পরগণার অর্থাৎ বর্তমান ফরিদপুর-বরিশালের জমিদার শেখ এনায়েতুল্লাহর বাগানবাড়ি ছিল আজকের আহসান মঞ্জিল জাদুঘরের স্থানে। তাঁর ছেলে শেখ মতিউল্লাহ বাগানবাড়ি বা রঙমহলটি ফরাসি বণিকদের নিকট বিক্রি করে দেন। ফরাসিরা এটিকে কুঠি হিসেবে ব্যবহার করে।

ফরাসি বণিকদের নিকট থেকে খাজা আলিমুল্লাহ ১৮৩৫ খ্রিস্টাব্দে কুঠিটি ক্রয় করে বাসভবনে রুপান্তর করেন। পর্যায়ক্রমে তা নবাব আব্দুল গণি, নবাব আহসানুল্লাহ ও নবাব সলিমুল্লাহ তাঁদের আবাসন ও দরবার হিসেবে ব্যবহার করেন।

তাঁদের স্মৃতিধন্য আবাসিক ভবনটি তাঁদের ব্যবহৃত দ্রব্যসামগ্রী দিয়ে বর্তমান আহসান মঞ্জিল জাদুঘর সাজানো হয়েছে। জাদুঘরটি ১৯৯২ খ্রিস্টাব্দের ২০ সেপ্টেম্বের জনসাধারণের জন্য উন্মুক্ত করে দেয়া হয়। প্রতিদিন কয়েক হাজার দেশি-বিদেশি দর্শক জাদুঘরটি পরিদর্শন করছেন।

জাদুঘরটি তৎকালীন ঢাকার ইতিহাস-ঐতিহ্য, মুঘলদের প্রভাব, সামাজিক-সাংস্কৃতিক গতিধারা, রাজনীতি-অর্থনীতিসহ নানাবিধ প্রসঙ্গ অনুধাবনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রাখবে বলে মনে হয়।

সংস্কৃতি বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ের আওতাধীন বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় জাদুঘরের অন্যতম শাখা জাদুঘর ওসমানী জাদুঘর। মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধের প্রধান সেনাপতি জেনারেল এম এ জি ওসামানী (মুহম্মদ আতাউল গনি ওসমানী) - এর স্মৃতিধন্য ওসমানী জাদুঘর। এ জাদুঘরটির ভিত্তিপ্রস্তর স্থাপিত হয় ১৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি ১৯৮৫ খ্রিস্টাব্দে এবং উদ্বোধন করা হয় ৪ মার্চ ১৯৮৭ খ্রিস্টাব্দে।
জেনারেল এম এ জি ওসমানীর স্মৃতিস্মারক দিয়ে এ জাদুঘরের গ্যালারিসমূহ উপস্থাপন করা হয়েছে। জাদুঘর পরিদর্শন শেকড়ের সন্ধান দেয়। পরিচয় করিয়ে দেয় ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্যের সাথে। জাদুঘরের একেকটি নিদর্শন একেকটি মহাকাব্যকে ধারণ করে। জাদুঘর যেন - ``Many Voices, One World''.
অন্যান্য পর্যটনের সাথে জাদুঘরকেন্দ্রিক পর্যটন নানা কারণে বৈশিষ্ট্যমণ্ডিত। পর্যটন যেখানে শুধু আনন্দ দেয়, জাদুঘর-পর্যটন সেখানে আনন্দের সাথে ইতিহাস-ঐতিহ্যের সাথে পরিচয় করে দেয়। শেকড়ের দ্যোতনা দেয়। অনুপ্রেরণা দেয়। টাইম-মেশিনে অতীতে ভ্রমণ করে আসা যায়। নিজেকে করে তথ্যসমৃদ্ধ।
আসুন পরিদর্শন করি এম এ জি ওসমানীর স্মৃতিবিজড়িত ঐতিহাসিক ও ঐতিহ্যিক ওসমানী জাদুঘর।

During the 2018 conference on Entrepreneurial Management organized by ICOM INTERCOM in Kolkata, museum professionals from different countries came together to explore how museums can become vibrant centers for interaction and community engagement.

Through group discussions and collaborative sessions, participants shared ideas on strengthening outreach and audience development. Key themes included:
• Interactive and hands-on activities for visitors
• Travelling and mobile exhibitions to reach wider communities
• Use of digital platforms and social media for promotion
• Virtual galleries and online access to collections
• Documentary film screenings and diverse communication channels
• Publications and the use of local languages to connect with communities

The discussions also highlighted the importance of visitor feedback, better museum facilities, staff empowerment, digitization, and motivating museum teams.

These conversations reinforced an important idea: museums are not just places to display objects—they are dynamic spaces for dialogue, learning, and social connection.

In 2018, members of ICOM INTERCOM gathered in Kolkata for an inspiring conference on Entrepreneurship. The event brought together museum professionals, scholars, and cultural practitioners from around the world to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore innovative approaches to museum entrepreneurship.

Through engaging discussions, collaborative sessions, and meaningful networking, participants reflected on how museums can foster creativity, sustainability, and community engagement in a rapidly changing world.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect across cultures and disciplines while strengthening the global museum community.

Museum Matters? If matters, How? If culture through museums connects its people to interaction, dialogue, participation, and perception, museums matter. How connections grow? It needs communication through various channels with texts, images, and many more. Brochure is one of them. National Folk Museum of Korea, placing a stall in Museum Fair in Dubai 2025, distributed this brochure and I was given one when I visited the stall. The 4-paged brochure contains Floor Plan, short description of permanent exhibition, Museum Map, Children's Museum, Open-air Exhibition, Special Exhibition Gallery, and other important information. Brochure matters to make museums meaningful to connect the people to its culture. Thanks to National Folk Museum of Korea
