certificate holder of the MoMA Coursera “What is Contemporary Art?” MOOC (2024). As a passionate supporter of ESG (see below) his paintings are vibrant, bold, confident and visually stunning. Probably collectable. His use of color is striking and evocative with each piece possessing a unique and alluring quality. What are his paintings like? His paintings are dynamic and energetic, with each stroke conveying a sense of movement and life. Jeansy’s art is evolving and represents an exciting direction in contemporary abstract art with each piece destined to become desirable. When questioned closely, Jeansy says that his goal is make people say “WOW! That’s Interesting!” when they view his work. In 2024 and 2025, Jeansy will be campaigning his paintings to contemporary art collectors in New York. Interior designers who want fabulous paintings to match their architectural design colorways will also be high on his list of potential clients. Tell me a little about Jeansy’s art background
Jeansy is a 10 year emerging artist based downunder in Sydney Australia…passionate about contemporary abstractionism incorporating expressionistic themes. Working in mixed media with a foundation in acrylic, others like his stuff. Collectors’ interest will follow. His goal is to build a profile in the collector community in NYC. Jeansy has minimal training in art so far but says he’s had wonderful guidance from established artists and art teachers and mentors. More art courses and education are yet to come. His talent and results clearly demonstrate that well. Currently focused on large-scaled contemporary abstracts with societal themes which mirror the complexity of our lives, Jeansy’s artistic subject development journey started with family and friend’s portraits. His artistic techniques are bespoke for our times and his clients. “It’s all about creating impact,” he said. Jeansy’s creative processes start with sound research to understand what’s high on the interest themes of collectors. “Lightbulb moments around social insights drive my inspiration to sketch madly until I’ve got something workable for my primary collector markets,” he said.
“One day, I hope”, he said “my work will make to the walls of the great fine art galleries in New York as a recognised international artist.”
What’s next? His next step is to secure art gallery representation through a specialist US-based art agent. Art fairs are a priority. Jeansy will also be visiting the Armory Show in NYC in September 2024 to widen his profile with key influencers in that market.
“Will I enter art exhibitions and art prizes?” he went on to say. “Sure. When there’s an opportunity to connect with the art collectors in New York who recognise value and collection growth, I’ll be there” he concluded. Australian exhibition entries in the last few years include the Wynne Prize and Archibald Prize. Also, entries to the Gosford, TADAS and Gunnedah Art Prizes.
