Ok - so we've teased enough now with the "glimpses" of parts of our Volvo B10M bus 🚌 185 - who's restoration is now complete.... and this Saturday 5 September, you can FINALLY get to see her .... (all of her and not just random bits 🀭) at The Brisbane Transport Museum from 10am until 2pm 😁😎

But that's not all....

Between 10am and 1130am and again from around 1pm - 2pm, you can enjoy free joy rides (with museum admission) on her - to welcome her back from restoration and back into museum service.

(If you haven't visited us for a few months, we have a new-improved joyride circuit that has a few "right hand" ➑️ turns as well as left ⬅️, so its a little more balanced πŸ˜†)

It is also the 30th anniversary of - The Queensland Omnibus & Coach Society - the club behind the museum.

At midday, there will be a short ceremony to thank and appreciate our major sponsor for this restoration, our friends at Indra for their generous support funding the restoration of this iconic Brisbane bus πŸ™πŸ˜Š

Now there's one (1) more thing....

Given that our freshened up bus 185 is a Volvo, we thought we'd welcome her back by complimenting the joy rides with a selection of only our other European buses for this open day - giving things a slightly Euro flavour πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ˜Ž

So come along and join us between 10am and 2pm this coming Saturday 5 September at 600 Mains Rd, Nathan.

Museum admission $20, discounts for kids & concession holders. Cash or card payment welcome at either the top carpark gate entry or the Mains rd entry point 😁

See you there! 😎

Here is a throwback to July 2005 when we couldn’t help but notice that then QOCS Secretary, Martin Stepancich, shared some similarities with John Symond from Aussie Home Loans!
