I've never bent timber with this kind of fun looking grain before so I was a little nervous about breaking something, but all was smooth!

Soundboard bracing!!
- planing, cutting and shaping the bracing material to the correct size pieces
- gluing the bracing in place onto the soundboard using an ancient clamping system (go-bar deck)
- shaping and carving the braces

The Complete Build... Guitar No. 4

Here is a mini movie of compiled shots from over 100 hours of labour... all from my backyard workshop (over the course of 9 months).

This project marks an epic time in my journey... over a decade of woodworking, 4 years of playing guitar, 3 years of making guitars, and the official launch of my business - Sawdust In Sync.

At 25, I feel incredibly lucky to be in the position I'm in. To have the skills, tools, resources, passion, people, and support in my life that I do. I really try my best not to take that for granted.

With thousands and thousands of hours of labour, learning, books, mentors, youtube videos, dreams, splinters, f*ckups and many tears (of course)... I'm pretty proud that I can create something like this with my own two hands - yet it feels like just the beginning.

Please go make something today, literally anything... your soul will thank you (and the world needs it too).
