Last Friday I had the honour of conducting a memorial service for a beautiful baby boy who was too precious for this earth. Noah was stillborn. His lovely parents, grandparents and friends were eagerly awaiting his birth. He was born sleeping, and will rest peacefully forever in the hearts and minds of all who love him.
Sleep peacefully Noah.

Yesterday I had the honour of conducting the memorial service for a lovely lady from Jindera. Pam was the sister of my friend Colleen, and she had become a close friend to me, and many others in our close knit community. Pam had a very full and rich life, for which she was very grateful. Her life celebration was held at the rear of the Jindera Museum, one of her favourite places. After the service, we shared a beautiful luncheon, prepared by the amazing volunteers who keep the tea rooms and Museum going. A fitting farewell to a beautiful lady.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of conducting the wedding ceremony for Courtney Graeber and Jordan Wood. The ceremony was held in the beautiful wedding garden at Tuileries at De Bortoli in Rutherglen. The weather held, although it was a bit windy. Bridal party looked gorgeous. Congratulations Courtney and Jordan. I wish you a long and happy marriage 💕

Hello everyone, I've been a bit quiet on the celebrant page lately, however that doesn't mean I have been quiet. Sadly, this time of year, sees many families losing their loved ones. Within the past couple of months, we have farewelled many special people. Last week, our family lost one of my Mum's sisters, Aunty Dawn. She was 90, and ready to go. While her family sat by her bedside, we lost Uncle Bob, who was Mum's youngest sister's Ann's husband. He died suddenly at home on hus own. Aunty Ann is in care. Today, I did Aunty Dawn's service, as she has had me booked for years. We gave her a beautiful farewell. Not easy, but I managed to keep it together. Uncle Bob's funeral is next Tuesday. A fellow celebrant is doing that one. I am looking forward to being an attendee for that one!

I sent a lovely sunset photo in to ABC breakfast weather today. I hope we see it on ABC breakfast. Ages ago, I sent a sunrise photo......we missed seeing it! Apparently Nate talked about our local area, and highlighted the photo.

Thinking of all the families who have lost their beautiful mothers during the past year. My thoughts are with you all. Even though I still have my Mum, I won't be able to visit her, as I currently have covid. Spending time with mum on special occasions has always been important to me, however I will wait until I have been negative for several days before I visit. I stayed away all of last week as David had covid, so it will be nearly 3 weeks before I can see her. Thank goodness I can ring and talk to her. Love to everyone 💕

Hello everyone, I am sorry that I have been off-line for some time. I've had issues with Facebook. Hopefully now sorted! Over the past few weeks, I have been busy with funerals, having farewelled a number of loved ones for beautiful families.
Today, we farewelled a man who emigrated to Australia with his wife and two young children many years ago as part of the ten pound pom project. They embraced everything that Australia has to offer. Derek was a stonemason by trade. His work can be seen around Beechworth, Rutherglen, Yackandandah and surrounding areas. He also had a passion for motor bikes, so the Rutherglen bike group escorted the hearse from Lesters in Wodonga to the crematorium. My only regret is that I didn't take my helmet, as there was a beautiful bike with side car among the amazing range of bikes. Wonderful farewell for a special man.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of conducting the wedding ceremony for Claire and Gordon at Wildwood in the Kangaroo Valley. David and I travelled there on Friday, stayed in a cottage on the KV golf course. Beautiful setting. We joined the bridal couple, families and friends for dinner on Friday evening after the rehearsal. Yesterday morning, we went for a drive to Nowra, Shoalhaven Heads, Kiama and Berry. Wedding was at 3pm, beautiful gathering of close family and friends. Today, we travelled home via Canberra , lunch with Matt, Lynn and Riley. Lovely weekend. Now into the hard work of preparing for our clearing sale!

This afternoon I had the pleasure of conducting the naming ceremony for Arthur Jason Henderson, via zoom. I conducted the marriage ceremony for his parents Kym and Lee during covid restrictions. They were married on their beautiful property at Gerogery, with just bride, groom, two witnesses and me, as their celebrant present. Their family and friends joined us via zoom. Some logged in from UK, all decked out in their finery at some ungodly time of the morning.
Today, we celebrated Arthur's birth, and 1st birthday. He is a gorgeous little boy. Love and best wishes to Kym, Lee and their family. Xx

Hello everyone, my apologies for not having posted recently. I hit the ground running when David and I returned from our trip to Cape York. Sadly, many beautiful families have said goodbye to their loved ones in the past weeks Never easy.
On a personal note, I recently lost a vary dear friend. Elizabeth was my golfing buddy. Despite our age difference, she was one of my dearest friends. We shared a lot in common. Her funeral was this afternoon at the Zion Lutheran Church in Walla. It was a perfect farewell for a beautiful lady. Being a celebrant doesn't doesn't make it any easier when we lose someone we love. My thoughts are with Elizabeth's family. ⚘️
