After a lot of consideration, Sheoak Ghost has decided to give all of her 'My Wild Child' Dolls faces! Originally these girls were designed to be faceless dolls, but I think we can all agree that they look so adorable with these cute eyes, dainty noses and sweet smiles. The faces are created with stitched felt and embroidery, and don't worry - there's more available than just what you see here.
She has also done a restock of 'Pocket Dollys' in preparation for the next Cygnet Market on Sunday 5th October. These 'Pocket Dollys' are available either for individual purchase or as a Free Gift with every 'My Wild Child' Doll, both of which are 100% Hand-stitched using recycled materials. The Cygnet Market, Tasmania, runs from 10am - 2pm (don't forget that daylight savings is kicking in that day!) and we will announce closer to the event if Lorelai House Gallery will be set up inside or outside. See you there!

The very first release of Lโ€™Rae Rose 'Vintage Tea' Dolls are complete and ready to be launched at tomorrow's The Hub Creative Market! These adult collector Art Dolls are inspired by vintage and antique tea cups, adorned in delicate floral lace 'tattoos'. Their cloth bodies, fabric detailing and hand-painted paper mache face plates were created using entirely recycled materials, proving that beautiful, quality collectables can also be sustainable for the environment. Come along to Tarremah Steiner School Hall tomorrow between 10am and 2pm to shop quality items, eat yummy food and enjoy live entertainment.

Making their debut at The Hub Creative Market this Sunday 21st are Sheoak Ghosts 'My Wild Child' Handmade Dolls, and their 'Pocket Dolly' companions that customers can either choose one for FREE when buying a 'My Wild Child' Doll, or purchase separately. All 100% Hand-stitched using fully recycled materials, these rag dolls draw inspiration from the pioneer days of homemade dolls, when mothers would craft their children a special keepsake using whatever materials they could salvage at home. Here's just a sneak peak of the new range - you'll find these dolls plus many more at our Lorelai House Gallery stall this weekend!
*Market hours are 10am - 2pm*

The Hub Creative Market event is held at the Tarremah Steiner School Hall, Huntingfield Tasmania (27 Nautilus Grove, Huntingfield TAS 7055)

What better way to repurpose leftover and scrap timber than to make little spooky houses and creepy homes for bees, insects and other critters! Our Artist and Dollmaker, Sheoak Ghost, will be bringing these 'Abandoned Creepy Crawly Houses' and her Miniature Ghost Town House Ornaments (and much more) to The Hub Creative Market 21st of September.
Both handmade using repurposed, recycled and leftover timber, she is able to reduce waste while giving the timber new life, and the bees a new place to call home.

The white base coats are on the face plates! These faces have such distinct features, whilst also maintaining a rustic handmade appearance and texture. Making these paper mache face plates feels very nostalgic - it wasn't until after I'd had all 3 heads primed that I realised just how much they all looked like some of the preset face templates from my favourite video game, The Sims 2! I can't wait to start painting the details on these.

The many faces of L'Rae Rose dolls...๐ŸŽญ
There's something really special about using basic materials like newspaper and glue to bring little faces to life. The latest editions to Lorelai House Gallery are the L'Rae Rose 'Vintage Tea' Dolls, a collection of delicately handmade Cloth Art Dolls featuring paper mache face plates - soon to be hand painted with their own unique facial details once sanding is complete.
