Very special guest in the engine shed at the moment. Dad’s restored Franks Transport 1946 Chevrolet light truck here for some antique machinery events coming up over the next few months. Looks the part in the shed!

More Associated progress today. Some plumbing, mount fuel tank, and time the magneto left to go before it’s time to give it a run.

Latest project in the shed is a 1920 6HP associated Six Mule Team throttle governed full base stationary engine. I have had this one for many years and first pulled it apart to commence restoration years ago only for it to get pushed aside in favour of other projects. It had been coated in ugly green paint by a previous owner but once hit with some paint stripper it revealed quite a bit of original red paint remaining.

Had a bit of fun this morning giving a new arrival from Engine DIY a run. This engine is a copy of the famous Lister D type which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The Okmo Retrol Model D engine can be purchased on a nice timber skid or optioned with the wheelbarrow style cart like the original engines. One again the quality of the engine is first class and once fitted with a battery and fueled up it started easily and ran nicely. Even came with a scale correct galvanised water bucket to fill the hopper! The engine can be purchased with a 15% discount by using the link below.

Great shed day underway with assembly of the 6HP Associated Six Mule Team engine.

Spent a great day on Sunday at the Barlow Museum Open Day with the Sydney Antique Machinery Club and friends. This private museum contains an amazing array of rare engines and machinery and is a real privilege to visit.

EngineDIY Okmo Retrol model B01 getting a run. This engine is a nicely built replica of the American built ball top Monitor engines. Another very high quality model from Okmo Retrol that is easy to run and great fun.
