Manly Esplanade, near Manly Jetty.
Every Monday salt water was pumped into the Manly swimming baths on the high tide - the Mayor, Ald W.A. Jolly officially opened on 25 September 1926.
The registered masseur, G.A. Kratzmann, provided hot plunge salt tubs and hot fresh tubs for those with various ailments. His treatment was assured to cure many muscular and other complaints.

The Governor Sir James Ramsay was very impressed with the Fashion Parade, called “Fashion through the Ages” Iris Brewer presented to the guests at the Centenary Dinner held in the large marque in Bayside Park. Guess the years the first two girls are representing?
Much pushing and pulling occurred to achieve the hourglass figure, of the 1880s for model Narelle Auld who was brave enough to wear the figure restricting corset type of gown.

This photo taken in 1981 shows President of the Manly Centenary Committee, Ron Schmidt, presenting Mrs Lewis, owner of the Black and white bus company, with the First Honorary membership of the Centenary Committee. This certificate is in appreciation of her financial support towards the planning of the Week of celebrations in 1982.
Mr Schmidt conducted the Manly Radio business in Cambridge Parade.

Manly Centenary 13th to 21st November 1882-1982
Much interest was shown by the public when visiting this mini museum, created by the Centenary Committee during the week of the Manly Centenary Celebrations in 1982. The display occurred in a vacant shop on the Esplanade (The Rock Bottom shop). Volunteers kept the display open for the whole week. Here the photographer found Myrtle Beitz, Mary Beard, Merv Beitz and Audrey Mackay on duty.
