يستعيد سمو الشيخ حشر بن مكتوم آل مكتوم ذكرياته في أزقة دبي القديمة وحول الحصن، حيث كانت حركة المدينة تنبض بالحياة، وكان حرّاس الحصن يشكّلون جزءًا من المشهد اليومي الذي بقي حاضرًا في الذاكرة.
حكايةٌ عن مدينة، وطفولة، وحصنٍ ظل شاهدًا على الناس وحاميًا لهم.

لا يزال حصن الفهيدي صامدًا في قلب دبي، شاهدًا على تاريخها وجزءًا من ذاكرتها الجماعية المشتركة. ومن بين جدرانه، تتواصل حكاية المكان الذي أسهم في تشكيل ملامح المدينة وهويتها.

بقي حصن الفهيدي شاهدًا على تاريخ دبي وجزءًا من نسيجه عبر الزمن. فمنذ أن شُيّد كمعقلٍ دفاعي لحماية مجتمعٍ ناشئ، وهو يواكب تحولات المدينة، ليؤدي اليوم دورًا كمتحفٍ يحفظ تاريخها ويروي قصة تطورها للأجيال.

Al Fahidi Fort has stood as both a witness to and a part of Dubai’s history. Originally built as a stronghold to protect a growing community, it now serves as a museum that preserves and shares the story of the city’s evolution.

شُيّد حصن الفهيدي لحماية مدينة ناشئة على ضفاف الخور، ثم أصبح مركزًا للحكم، وحارسًا للمدينة، وكان أول متحف في دبي.

في اليوم العالمي للمتاحف، نحتفي بأقدم مبنى في دبي، وبالقصص التي لا يزال يرويها كل يوم.

الافتتاح قريبًا.



Built to protect a small settlement along the creek, Al Fahidi Fort went on to become a seat of rule, a stronghold for the city, and eventually Dubai’s first museum.

This International Museum Day, we celebrate Dubai’s oldest standing building and the stories it continues to hold.

في 17 مايو عام 1971، افتُتح حصن الفهيدي كأول متحف في دبي.

على مدار أكثر من أربعة عقود، تعرّف السياح على تاريخ دبي من خلال أروقة الحصن، وزارت أجيال متنوعة أرجاءه: في رحلات مدرسية، وزيارات عائلية، واستكشافات أصبحت جزءًا من الذاكرة الجماعية لدبي.

لا يزال الحصن أحد أبرز معالم المدينة وأكثرها رسوخًا في الذاكرة.

بينما نحتفي بمرور 55 عامًا على افتتاح أول متحف في دبي، حصن الفهيدي، نسترجع الذكريات التي لا يزال يحملها، قبل أن نرحّب بالزوار مرة أخرى قريبًا.

ما هي ذكرياتكم عن حصن الفهيدي؟



On the 17th of May 1971, Al Fahidi Fort opened its doors as Dubai’s first museum.

For over four decades, tourists learned Dubai’s history through the galleries of the fort and generations have walked through its halls: on school trips, family visits, and moments of discovery that became part of Dubai’s collective memory.

The fort remains one of the city’s most enduring landmarks.

As we mark 55 years since the opening of Dubai’s first musuem at Al Fahidi Fort, we look back at the memories it continues to hold — before welcoming visitors once again soon.
