An exceptional Nain Tudeshk —
a rare expression of Persian weaving artistry.

Tudeshk is not the name of a master weaver, but of a small historic village situated between Isfahan and Nain in central Iran. During the first half of the 20th century, its workshops became renowned for producing remarkably fine carpets distinguished by their precision, elegance and sophisticated colour palettes. Tudeshk weaving later played an important role in the development of the celebrated Nain carpet tradition.

What makes this piece especially captivating is its unusual luminous light-blue field — a rare and refreshing tone that gives the composition remarkable depth and serenity. Across the field, an elaborate all-over arrangement of flowering vines, palmettes and delicate arabesques unfolds in perfect symmetry, without relying on a dominant central medallion.

Framed by an elegant ivory floral border, the intricate design creates a beautiful balance between richness and calm. A true collector’s piece in which history, colour and craftsmanship are woven together.

hand-knotted in the early 20th Century from fine Manchester wool, distinguished by its extraordinary composition, powerful colors and remarkable calligraphic details.

One of the most fascinating features of this piece is the extensive Arabic calligraphy,
with Ayat al-Kursi (The Throne Verse, Qur’an 2:255) incorporated into the side borders.

Deep blues, vibrant magenta, green and golden tones are combined with intricate floral arabesques, symbolic elements and calligraphic panels, creating a composition that is as historically fascinating as it is visually impressive.

A Part Silk Isfahan Shureshi Carpet 💎

An exceptional Persian carpet distinguished by its magnificent central medallion, surrounded by an intricate composition of floral arabesques, palmettes and delicate scrolling vines. The elegant ivory field is beautifully contrasted by deep navy, rich red and soft blue tones, creating a remarkably balanced and sophisticated composition.

The name Shureshi belongs to one of the celebrated weaving traditions of Isfahan. Master weaver Abdolrahim Shureshi established his workshop in Isfahan and became renowned for extraordinary craftsmanship, refined designs and meticulous attention to detail. His son Abbas continued this tradition and was particularly respected for his mastery of traditional dyeing techniques.

A carpet that represents the elegance, precision and artistic heritage for which the finest Isfahan weavings are admired.
